At KAANAS we are proud ambassadors of artisans and the one-of-a-kind pieces they create. For Spring 2018 we have partnered with Artisan FRIDA PADILLA to bring a little Usiacuri to you.

USIACURI is a small magical town located along the coast of Colombia born with a rich artisan culture. For centuries, men and women have handcrafted local goods using the PALM OF IRACA, a palm-like fiber that is naturally dyed into a myriad of shades and later woven into hats, bags, baskets and other accessories.

Every KAANAS accessory is unique, there can be slight irregularities in the shade and shape of the bags due to the nature of its craftsmanship. Each piece is hand-dyed so the natural fibers may fade with time.
